I'm a writer based in Los Angeles. I spent years in advertising and communications — large agencies, account work, media — while writing on the side whenever I could. Fiction, articles, copy. The account work paid the bills. The writing was different. Time stopped mattering. I could spend twelve hours on a project and not notice.
I came to memoir work through my own family history. I was adopted, and the search for my birth family turned out to be one of the richest stories I've ever encountered — full of the kind of coincidences and connections that you couldn't make up. That experience changed how I think about family narratives. Every family has them. Most never get written down.
If you have a story worth preserving, I can help you tell it.
